About This Spot
Nestled on a quiet street in Loulé, Churrasqueira Angolana invites you into a warmly renewed space where the familiar hum of a bustling local spot meets the charm of thoughtful reinvention. The moment you step inside, there's a comfortable, lively rhythm — the kind that suggests sharing good food is as much about connecting with others as it is about satisfying hunger. It’s a place where attentive staff move with a quiet purpose, balancing familiarity and care without ever rushing the experience.
The atmosphere carries the easy-going spirit of a casual eatery popular with both locals and curious visitors, blending the relaxed pace of neighborhood dining with an undeniable energy born from its well-loved charcoal grill. Here, the thick smoke of the coals is a silent testament to those lovingly tended cuts of meat and fresh fish, kissed with flavors that hint at Angolan influences woven seamlessly into traditional Portuguese fare.
Dining at Churrasqueira Angolana feels like an invitation to slow down and savor each bite — from juicy, tender steaks to lightly charred seafood, accompanied by simple, heartening sides that comfort as much as they complement. Very pretty renovated restaurant. There was a slight queue to sit but we ordered food while waiting. The staff was friendly and the food was super tasty. The specialty is coal grilled food, both fish and meat. I had picanha which was super juicy, tender and tasty, with fries and a very good bean rice.

Third visit, first since the renovation. Great Portuguese cuisine with a slight African twist. Excellent value for money, the only criticism is it's popularity; either book a table or show up really early. If you don't mind queuing, there's also that option.

15 out of 10, that's incredible place! The service is very pleasant, the food is incredibly tasty (we took several fish dishes), the price is very affordable, the waiters went out of their way to help resolve the issue. We will come here again and again!

A hidden gem. Nice atmosphere and decoration. Staff was helpful, nice and friendly. The food was very nice too. I had the black pork and my friend had the picanha. For lunch. The half portions are more than enough especially if you go for a dessert, which I recommend
